About the BBQ Cook-Off
The Great Sky Neighborhood BBQ Cook-Off is all about good food, great people, and community spirit!
Cooks prepare their BBQ at home on their own time, then bring their creations to the event to serve, connect with neighbors, and have some fun. There are no limits on BBQ style or meat choice—bring your own recipe, flavor, and personality!
Everyone is welcome to participate, taste, and vote. No professional experience is required—just a love for BBQ!
WHERE WILL THE EVENT BE HELD?
Great Sky Clubhouse Parking Lot near the Pavilion
If it rains, the event will move to the Clubhouse Basement.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE
Cooks must register by Labor Day — September 7.
There is no registration deadline for guests who simply want to attend, taste, and vote.
However, an RSVP is appreciated so we can get an idea of attendance.
COMPETITION CATEGORIES
This is purely for fun, and all neighbors are welcome to participate!
There are two competition categories:
1. Best BBQ Entrée
Make any style of BBQ with any cut of meat you want. There are no limits—make it your own!
2. Favorite Side Dish
Bring whatever side dish you want, from street corn to BBQ beans and everything in between. No limits!
IS THERE AN ENTRY FEE?
No! There is no entry fee.
The BBQ Cook-Off is completely free to participate in and attend.
There will also be a donation box benefiting Tunnel to Towers, the Great Sky Realty Group's preferred charity.
HOW ARE WINNERS CHOSEN?
There are no judges!
Winners will be selected by popular vote. Tasters will sample the food, cast their votes, and the votes will be tallied to determine the winners.

WILL THERE BE PRIZES?
Yes!
A trophy will be awarded to the winner of each category.
Bragging rights are included!
WHAT DO COOKS NEED TO BRING??
Competitors bring everything needed to cook and serve. We'll provide a table, chair, tent, sample cups, forks, napkins, and the good vibes!

Neighbors and guests will sample the entries and vote for their favorites.
